How often have you seen a report about a crime in a newspaper or on TV and thought "They should lock whoever did it up and throw away the key?" Maybe you would go one step further like this American radio show host: "Turn on the juice, fry him and don't let's hear his name again." But sometimes the punishment the person actually does get is rather a disappointment. You may think "It that all? No wonder there's so much crime, when criminals keep getting away with it." Or you may think that the punishment is too severe - that the person's crime is not that bad.
