All birds are animals. But not all animals are birds. If an animal does not have wings it is not a bird. But many animals without wings look like they fly. In order to survive or to move around safely to find food or to mate, they can parachute or glide from tree to tree. They can stretch out their bodies and blow with the wind. Even some fish can glide across the water surface. All of these animals have no wings, but they look like they are flying.
