Indigenous cultures of Western Australia (WA) reflected their environments. There was great variety in environment. There were the languages and cultures of the Desert and of the high rainfall regions of southwest WA. There were the cultures of the Kimberley - both coastal and inland. While the cultures had similarities in the hunting and gathering way of living and in their religious beliefs, the type of environment influenced the details of the cultures.
