Long ago and far away there was a world of wonder. The gods filled it with oceans and mountains, with astonishing beasts and with people like us. Then the gods grew tired. They liked to lie in the clouds, eating cake and taking naps.
But the world below was still unfinished. There were still lots of empty spaces in it.
Harry, Sue and Little Ben decide to take things into their own hands. They look into the world, and they look into themselves, and they create a squeaky mousy thing. Then a scaly slithery thing.
Do they dare to create a hairy thing that howls and snarls, and has great big teeth? Little Ben says, No! The gods look down and say, Don't do that!
Why not? say Harry and Sue. It will be a wonderful, beautiful thing.
