The book honours these heroes.Cameron Kovarek graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in December 2010 with a B.A. in psychology, and commissioned through Officer Candidate School in January 2012. After completing the basic course, she was assigned to Fort Meade in Maryland, where she completed two deployments: one with the USS NIMITZ in 2013 and another to the AFRICOM area of operations in 2014. In June of 2015, she arrived to a new command in San Diego, CA, where I she is currently stationed.
