Her therapist challenges the ever-skeptical Annabelle to try new things and make new friends to help her cope with her mom's upcoming military assignment in Afghanistan. Annabelle takes the opportunity to create a secret online vlog, Daphne Doesn't, where she makes fun of all the things she thinks are a waste of time, and agrees to give sports a try...reluctantly. Undercover as Daphne, Annabelle makes fun of sports like lacrosse (Why does everyone look like they're chasing butterflies?) and swimming (Poodle hair and wedgies? No thanks!).
