What does it mean to be a survivor? To be the one who lives when someone else has died? Going on after the death of a friend or family member is something everyone will likely have to face at some point in life. Sometimes the survivor feels guilty: Why did I live when they did not? When a person is one of the few survivors of a large disaster, this feeling can be amplified.
