Lizz Kuiper spent her formative years in Harare, Zimbabwe before emigrating to Perth with her mother. In 2016, she graduated from the University of Melbourne with a degree in politics and philosophy. Writing stories that depict life in Zimbabwe is cathartic, providing a way for Lizz to reflect upon her childhood and the country she still holds close in her heart. An early extract of Little Stones was longlisted for the Richell prize, received the Express Media prize for best fiction piece, and was published in Award Winning Australian Writing (2015).
