Product Description
Frances Jellico is dying, her memory clouded by illness. A man who calls himself a vicar visits her often, determined to extract a confession from her. He wants to know what really happened that fateful summer of 1969, when Frances, tasked with surveying the Lyntons' garden architecture for the absent owner, first set eyes on the glamorous, bohemian Cara and Peter. He will want to know how she tumbled into their dazzling lives- the wine-drenched dinners, the skies hot and hazy with cigarettes. The Judas hole she used to spy on the couple. And the crime that split their lives open like rotten fruit.Frances Jellico is dying, her memory clouded by illness.
